This is the one I’ve been waiting on for like a year and a half. With only screen shots, cut scenes, and short videos to scratch that itch, when I was finally able to get down and dirty on this joint, I was like a kid in a 95 degree candy store. Off top, the visuals are insane!!!
Look at all the pollen floating around the lush fields. Watch as the clouds leave shadows as they pass by ever so life-like. It is a truely beautiful looking game.
The controls may take some getting used to if you haven’t really been playing games in, say, I don’t know, the last eight years. But, if your like me, you’ll be sprinting, climbing, leaping and murdering in no time. I’ve heard peolpe complain saying that the combat wasn’t that impressive. WHAT???? They must not know how to do combo kills, or counter kills, or how to switch from the long sword to the short blade, then to the hidden blade, then to throwing knives, all in one fight. The fact that pulling it off properly shows a different perspective of the action, always keeps it fresh and entertaining. Trust me when you see this dude use all his force to kick a guard in his knee, bending his leg the wrong way into a right angle, then break his neck as he grabs at the twisted leg… you’ll wanna do it to everyone you come across. Outside of the game as well. And thats just one of the fantastic things this cat can do in battle. Throwing unsuspecting guards off of rooftops and wacthing them scream their way to the crowd below never gets old either. Everyone runs in panic, it’s great!!
The missions do tend to get a little repetitive. Find the view points, climb the view points, save the lady, pick a pocket, etc. The missions do tend to get a little repetitive. Find the view points, climb the view points, save the lady, pick a pocket, etc. Yeah like that. You’ll hear alot of the same things being said no matter where you are in the game, “A crusade for what?!?!” “my families sick and dying”, things like that. It can get a little annoying, but, the fact that you can start a fight whenever you want….. totally makes up for all that in my book. I mean, part of the whole game is the blade in the crowd mentality, blending in and all that….escaping when you are exposed,….man whatever!!!!! I’m gonna have to quote LIL WAYNE on this one, “I AINT NEVER RAN FROM A (N WORD), AND DANM SURE AINT BOUT TO PICK TODAY TO START RUNNING!!!” Why would you???
Add in finding hundreds of flags and dozens of knights of the templars, and that makes sure, you’ll be busy for a while. Not to mention things you’ll completely miss if someone doesn’t put you up on. I think this game is “DOPE”!! Well worth the wait. Even the wait for the next one. HURRY HURRY!!

I completely agree! This is one of the most visually stunning games on the market today. Bio-shock-esque! Yes, its that good.
I sat in awe, as I ran around the streets of Jeruselum, climbed the buildings of Damascus, or jumped from ship to ship in the harbor in Acre. Ubisoft really out did themselves with this game. It will be the benchmark to live up to.
Now if I could just get past the last mission…
